I've got 50 cents to my name

    <lj:music>Mozart and fire sirens</lj:music>

So rent this month, on top of electric, water, cable, and propane has left me with exactly 50 cents worth of disposable funds (not including the change which has fallen under the driver’s seat of my car). What makes this more distressing is the fact that I have no job and about 6 gallons of gas in my car, which essentially puts me under house arrest. My last few days have been spent finding and filling out job applications, trying to learn how to play the piano, biking the waterfront bikeway, watching scrubs season 3, driving my roommate to work, and trying like hell not to smoke any ganja so I can pass a piss test if one of my applications comes through. Additionally there is very little food in the house so I’ve been surviving on a steady diet of box mac & cheese, whatever beer is left over in the fridge, and multivitamins – a diet which is strangely reminiscent of freshman year.
I feel under-stimulated now, but I’ll probably miss this totally useless feeling once I have a job working for the man. I just wish I could think of more totally sweet things to do that are free and are less than 60 miles away.

So I need to get a job. In a perfect world i'd be able to find something laid back, but realistically i'll probably be working the late shift at Chicken Charlies or be putting away shopping carts at Price Chopper. Unless i can find an effective street performing act i'm pretty sure i'm going to have to spend the rest of my summer as somebody's bitch.

I found out yesterday that Bela Fleck & the Flecktones are comeing to Shelburne in august!!!!! This is made even sweeter by virtue of the fact that i can walk to the grounds. Just one more reason that i'm glad that i'm not living at home this summer (seriously, the Vally can fornicate itself with an iron stick).

Oh, and it is amazafying knowing that i no longer have to drive up to school just to sit through 3 hours of biochem. I think today i'm just going to veg.

OK, this is entry one for me. Remarkably i have little to say after writing my bio. Thus if you care to read more i will refer you to my bio, as most of the effort i cared to put into LJ today was spent there.

And by the way, I am as ignorant to the ways of LJ as is humanly possible. Somebody (hmmm rawr) befriend me and tell me the ropes before i do something i regret.

Peace and goodnight
